Saudi Arabia Sets New Conditions for Umrah Visas

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced new conditions for one-year multiple-entry Umrah visas. Under the new rules, holders of a valid one-year visa cannot travel directly to Saudi Arabia for each Umrah trip. They must complete certain procedures before every visit. According to a Gulf News report published on Sunday (August 16), visa holders must purchase a required service package from an approved Umrah service provider through the Nusuk platform. They must also obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app before travelling.

Introduced in July, the multiple-entry Umrah visa is valid for 365 days from the date of issue. Holders can enter Saudi Arabia multiple times, but their total stay cannot exceed 90 days during the visa’s validity. Before each trip, the service package must be valid and cannot extend beyond the remaining visa period. The Umrah permit date must also match the date of the approved service package.

First-time visitors must purchase an approved Nusuk service package before applying for a visa and completing the required procedures. Travel eligibility will then be verified before departure. Upon arrival and departure, travellers’ entry and exit records will be updated to track their total stay and remaining days under the 90-day limit. All other Saudi entry and travel requirements must also be met.
