Online Transfers for MPO Teachers Open Till August 27
Teachers employed at non-government MPO-affiliated schools and institutions can apply for transfers online starting on Friday and continuing until August 27. The Directive, issued by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), allows applicants to select up to three preferred educational institutions in order of priority. Before final transfer orders are issued, requests will be validated by automatic software.
Applicants must have worked continuously at their present institution for at least two years in order to be eligible, and they may only seek to move within their home division or district if there are no openings in the area. Teachers may also apply to their spouse’s present employer or home district if the spouse is employed by a government, semi-government, autonomous, or MPO-affiliated organization. Teachers who have their MPO status suspended or are facing criminal charges are not eligible.
The updated 2026 transfer policy, which increased eligibility across equivalent levels to include principals, vice-principals, demonstrators, assistant teachers, trade instructors, lecturers, and assistant professors, governs all submissions. DSHE issued a warning, stating that incomplete files will be automatically rejected and that applicants and institution leaders will be held personally responsible for incorrect portal entries.
The selected instructor must be released by institution leaders within ten days of the transfer order being issued. After being discharged, the instructor has to start working at their new job within ten days. Teachers who transfer must stay at the new institution for at least two years before they can seek another transfer.
