Japan PM, Russian President Send Letters Congratulating President Mirza Fakhrul

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has congratulated Bangladesh’s newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Takaichi sent a congratulatory letter to the new president on Wednesday, according to the Japanese Foreign Ministry’s website on Thursday. In the letter, she congratulated Mirza Fakhrul on assuming office as president. She said Japan is committed to working closely with Bangladesh to further advance bilateral relations and realise a free and open Indo-Pacific.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has also sent a congratulatory letter to Bangladesh’s newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander Khozin handed over Putin’s letter to the newly elected president during a meeting with him in Dhaka on Thursday. The Russian Embassy also confirmed the matter in information released on Thursday.
