Fuel Prices Remain Unchanged

The government has kept fuel prices unchanged for September. As a result, the latest retail prices of diesel, kerosene, octane and petrol will remain in effect throughout the month.

The Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry announced the decision in a notification issued Monday afternoon. Accordingly, diesel will sell at Tk 115 per litre, kerosene at Tk 135, octane at Tk 145 and petrol at Tk 140 throughout September.

The notification, signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Md Enamul Haque, said the retail prices had been set at Tk 115 per litre for diesel, Tk 145 for octane, Tk 140 for petrol and Tk 135 for kerosene under a notification issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on May 31.

“With the approval of the competent authority, the existing prices have been kept unchanged for September 2026,” the notification said. The prices will therefore remain effective from Tuesday, September 1.

Earlier, a notification issued on July 30 said the latest retail prices of diesel, kerosene, octane and petrol would remain unchanged. Consequently, diesel sold at Tk 115 per litre, kerosene at Tk 135, octane at Tk 145 and petrol at Tk 140 in August.
