8-Hour Power Outage Today in Several Areas

Power supply will remain suspended for eight consecutive hours today, Saturday (September 5), in various areas of Debiganj Municipality in Panchagarh due to emergency maintenance and development work.

The Debiganj Zonal Office of Dinajpur Palli Bidyut Samity-2 confirmed the matter in a notice issued on Friday (September 4).

According to the Palli Bidyut office, tree branches near power lines are being trimmed and right-of-way work is being carried out to ensure the safety of the electrical lines. To facilitate the work, power supply to customers in Debiganj Municipality will remain suspended from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday.

The authorities said power connections will be restored immediately if the tree-trimming work is completed before the scheduled time.

Public announcements have been made in the affected areas to alert customers about the temporary outage. The local Palli Bidyut authorities apologized for the temporary inconvenience, saying the maintenance work is being carried out to ensure uninterrupted and safe power supply in the future.
