General Secretary of Jamiatul Modarresin’s Lalmohan Upazila Branch Passes Away

Lalmohan (Bhola) Upazila Correspondent:

Maulana Mohammad Saiful Islam, general secretary of the Lalmohan upazila branch of Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresin, superintendent of Purba Dhaligaur Nagar Islamia Dakhil Madrasa, and president of the Lalmohan Upazila Ulama Dal, passed away at Shamrita Hospital in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon while undergoing treatment. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. He had been suffering from illness for a long time.

Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram, Speaker of the National Parliament, and leaders of the Bhola district branch of Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresin expressed grief over his death.
In a condolence message, Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin said he was deeply saddened by Saiful Talukder’s death. He described the deceased as a dedicated, honest and religious person. He said his important role in strengthening the organisation and advancing the party’s ideals and democratic movement as a responsible leader of the Jatiyatabadi Ulama Dal would remain memorable to party leaders and activists.

Alhaj Mohammad Mobashshirul Haque Naim, general secretary of the district branch of Jamiatul Modarresin, said in a condolence message that the late Maulana Mohammad Saiful Islam was a dedicated, responsible and sincere colleague of the organisation. His active role in organisational activities and sincerity toward colleagues would remain memorable for a long time. His death was also an irreparable loss to the organisation, he said.

President of Lalmohan Upazila BNP Zafar Iqbal, general secretary Shafiqul Islam Bablu Panchayet, municipal BNP general secretary Kamruzzaman Bablu Patowari, district and upazila leaders of Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresin, madrasa teachers, well-wishers and people from all walks of life expressed deep grief and sympathy over the death of the late Saiful Islam and prayed for the forgiveness of his soul.
