Israel says it is carrying out attacks in Lebanon against Hezbollah, an Iran-backed armed group. However, the attacks have resulted in widespread civilian casualties.
After the United States and Israel began their war on Iranian territory in March, Israel also intensified its attacks on Lebanon.
