PM Provides Grants to 28 Mosques and 10 Temples in Dhaka-17

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has provided financial assistance to various religious institutions in the Dhaka-17 constituency of the capital. Grants were given to mosques and madrasas, as well as to several temples in the constituency ahead of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja.

The prime minister handed over the grant cheques to representatives of the concerned mosques and temples in Dhaka-17 at the BNP chairperson’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Friday afternoon. Under the grant programme, each of 28 mosques in the Dhaka-17 constituency received Tk 247,000. A total of Tk 6.916 million was provided to the mosques.

In addition, 10 temples received Tk 300,000 each, amounting to a total financial grant of Tk 3 million, ahead of the Sharadiya Durga Puja. The financial assistance was provided to support the activities of religious institutions and help ensure the smooth organisation of the Sharadiya Durga Puja.
