Houthis’ ‘extraordinary victory’ puts US at a standstill: Iran

Mr. Mohammad Mokhber, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mr. Mojtaba Khamenei, has praised the rapid advances and recent military successes of the armed Houthi group (Ansarullah) along Yemen’s Red Sea coast, calling it a “remarkable victory.”
In a message posted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Mr. Mohammad Mokhber, Iran’s former acting president and current advisor to the Supreme Leader, said, “Warm congratulations to Ansarullah on this remarkable victory.”
He further stated that, because of Iran’s strong position in the strait — the Strait of Hormuz — and the regional resistance forces’ own resolve, the United States and its allied countries have now been forced into a strategic and military stalemate.
Notably, despite the presence of and obstruction by Western naval forces in the Red Sea, Houthi rebels have continued to strengthen their military position. This open support for the Houthis from Iran’s top leadership is further sharpening the ongoing geopolitical tensions and the new balance of military dominance in the Middle East.
