The Path of the Prophet Muhammad (S.) and the Haqqani Awliya Is the True Path of Islam

A doa and mahfil was held at the historic Gausul Azam Mosque in the capital’s Mohakhali area, as in previous years, marking the annual death anniversary of Hazrat Abdul Qader Jilani (RA), observed as the sacred Fatheha-e-Yazdaham.

The mahfil was held on Wednesday in a solemn religious atmosphere, drawing more than 5,000 worshippers and devotees of Gausul Azam Abdul Qader Jilani (RA) from different parts of the country. The mosque complex became packed with devotees.

The chief speaker of the mahfil, Alhaj Mawlana Idris Ansari, spoke about the life, deeds, Islamic way of life, propagation of Islam and miraculous karamat of Abdul Qader Jilani (RA). He particularly discussed the importance of learning from the lives of the Prophet and Messenger (SA) and the saints and applying those teachings to contemporary life to establish peace and discipline in society.
The speakers also stressed the importance of transforming oneself through the true teachings, traditions and beauty of Islam. The mahfil also highlighted the need to protect Muslims from the worldwide conspiracies aimed at undermining their faith and beliefs. In particular, the participants were urged to end divisions among themselves and unite all Muslims.

The Fatheha-e-Yazdaham mahfil was organised by Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresseen, a professional and non-political organisation of madrasa teachers and employees, in association with Gausul Azam Mosque.
Speaking at the event, the organisation’s Secretary General, Principal Sabbir Ahmad Momtazi, said, “The path shown by the Prophet Muhammad (s.) and haqqani awliya is the true path of Islam. Neither excess nor negligence; moderation must be followed in all circumstances. This is the teaching of Islam.”
He said Islam should not be practised only by those who study in madrasas; rather, every Muslim should have knowledge of the proper rules and injunctions of Islam. In particular, policymakers at the family, social and state levels should have profound knowledge of these matters.

He said that if people do not have enough time to acquire knowledge, they should at least proceed by seeking advice from genuine Islamic scholars and knowledgeable people. In that case, they can achieve success in both this world and the Hereafter. Otherwise, wrong decisions may put their very existence at risk.
The mahfil concluded with a special doa and munajat led by Alhaj Mufti Mawlana Mahbubur Rahman, Khatib of Gausul Azam Mosque.
