The Prophet’s (PBUH) Character Was a Living Reflection of the Quran

Imams and Islamic scholars across various mosques in Dhaka delivered critical sermons during Friday prayers, emphasizing the finality of prophethood, spiritual purification, socio-economic discipline, and absolute submission to divine command. Mufti Abdul Malek, Khatib of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, asserted that love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a fundamental branch of faith, stating that he must be loved above all else after Allah. He emphasized the doctrine of Khatamun Nabiyyin (Finality of Prophethood) and noted that when Prophet Isa (AS) returns before the Day of Judgment, he will implement the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) rather than the Injeel.

At the Shamoli Shahi Mosque in Mohammadpur, Khatib Dr. Mufti Md. Morshed Alam Salehi described Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the ultimate guide for all humanity. Citing Surah Al-Anbiya and Surah Al-Ahzab, he highlighted the obligation of sending blessings (Darood) upon the Prophet (PBUH). Referring to Sahih Muslim, he reminded worshippers of the Prophet’s leadership on the Day of Resurrection and stressed that genuine devotion requires adopting his exemplary character, following his Sunnah, and establishing his ideals throughout individual and social life.

Addressing pressing economic challenges, Mufti Abdur Rahim Kasemi, Khatib of Mirpur’s Baitul Mamur Jame Mosque, stated that price hikes and power crises could be managed by eliminating hoarding, illegal profiteering, corruption, and extortion. He condemned artificial supply shortages, price manipulation, short-weighing, and excessive profit-making as strictly prohibited (Haram) in Islam. Urging restraint in power consumption across religious centers and offices, he called upon experts to research legitimate solutions while encouraging patience and reliance on Allah during times of socio-economic hardship.

At the South Mugda Bank Colony Rasulbagh Jame Mosque, Khatib Mufti Abdullah Al Masud emphasized that true faith extends beyond verbal testimony to total submission to Allah and His Messenger (PBUH). Referencing Surah An-Nur and Surah Al-Ahzab, he asserted that believers must prioritize divine guidance over personal desires, self-interest, or limited intellect. He urged the Muslim community to consistently return to the Quran and Sunnah whenever differences or disputes arise in society.

At the Mugda North Manda Baitun Nur Jame Mosque, Shaikh-ul-Hadith Mufti Fayzullah Jibanpuri discussed the significance of accepting sincere counsel (Nasihat). Drawing from Hadiths narrated by Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari (RA) and relevant Quranic verses, he urged the congregation to maintain God-consciousness (Taqwa) under all circumstances. He concluded by reminding believers to immediately follow bad deeds with good ones to erase them, while consistently displaying excellent conduct toward all people in their daily lives.
