Any Threat to the Security of Holy Makkah Is Unacceptable: Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Bangladesh

Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Bangladesh has strongly condemned and protested against any attempt to disrupt the security and sanctity of the holy city of Makkah and the sacred Masjid al-Haram. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Bangladesh President Sheikhul Hadith Maulana Ubaidullah Faruk and Secretary General Maulana Manzurul Islam Afendi expressed the condemnation and protest.
The two leaders said that Makkah and Madinah are the heartbeat of Muslims and are highly respected and sacred places for Muslims around the world. They said that creating any threat to the security and sanctity of Makkah is in no way acceptable. They said that creating fear through attacks and violence in the holy land goes against the Islamic principles of peace and security.
The reported attack by the Houthis targeting the holy city of Makkah is a matter of deep concern for the Muslim Ummah. Such activities must be stopped immediately. The Jamiat leaders called on Saudi Arabia to take effective measures to ensure the security of the holy land, Makkah and Madinah, and other sacred places of Muslims.
At the same time, they called on the Muslim world to maintain unity and restraint and to play a collective role in protecting the security and dignity of the holy places. They said that no threat or aggression against the security of the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah can be accepted. They said, “May Allah Almighty protect the holy land and the entire Muslim Ummah from all kinds of dangers, calamities and discord, and establish peace and security throughout the world.”
