Awami League Gets Rally Opportunities With Delhi’s Collusion: Mia Golam Parwar
Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, has alleged that the banned Awami League is staging processions due to a tacit understanding with Delhi, warning against any secret conspiracy to rehabilitate them. Speaking as the chief guest at a national-level Seerat seminar in Dhaka organized by the Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Federation, he questioned how a politically banned party manages to hold rallies nationwide. Mr. Parwar asserted that the citizens of Bangladesh demand justice and accountability for the July killings, strongly emphasizing that no political compromises should be forged with individuals linked to the July massacres. He urged all political stakeholders to abandon destructive paths, foster strong national unity, and build a just, discrimination-free Bangladesh aligned with public aspirations and the spirit of the July Revolution.
Shifting focus to economic and social reforms, Mr. Parwar stressed that workers’ rights, democratic liberties, and state justice must be prioritized concurrently to eradicate discrimination caused by favoring special classes or groups. He declared that a humane society will be established by securing the rightful claims of workers, employers, farmers, and citizens across all professions through the implementation of Islamic labor principles. Highlighting the historical significance of the occasion, he noted that the welfare-oriented ideals established by the Prophet (PBUH) to uplift distressed and oppressed populations remain an enduring model for humanity. According to Mr. Parwar, true peace, justice, and equality in the modern labor sector are entirely achievable if both employers and employees strictly follow these prophetic teachings.
The high-profile seminar, titled ‘Labor Policy of the Prophet (PBUH): Unique Ideal in Establishing Rights and Dignity of Working People,’ was presided over by the Federation’s Central President Advocate Atiqur Rahman and conducted by Central General Secretary Lasker Md. Taslim. The keynote paper was presented by prominent Islamic thinker, researcher, and educator Professor Dr. Maulana Abdus Samad, setting an academic and ideological tone for the discussions. The event drew a large gathering of intellectuals, academics, and political figures who contributed to the discourse on labor rights and state governance.
Prominent speakers and participants included Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud MP, Dr. Rezaul Karim, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdur Rob, Barrister Nazibur Rahman Momen MP, Dr. Abul Kalam Azad (Bashar), Mufti Ali Hasan Osama, and Professor Dr. Col. (Retd.) Zehad Khan. Other notable contributors to the program were former Central President Hafez Rashedul Islam MP, Principal Dr. Maulana Hifzur Rahman, Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, and Professor Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman Akhand. Together, these leaders reinforced the seminar’s core message of combining Islamic labor ethics with contemporary social justice to drive meaningful national reform.
