The Prophet (PBUH) himself celebrated his birth by sacrificing a goat: The Prophet (PBUH) himself celebrated his birth. In gratitude to Allah, he sacrificed a goat in joy at his birth and arranged a feast. The evidence is presented below.
(1) Al-Bayhaqi (384–458 AH) narrated from Hazrat Anas (RA) that after declaring his prophethood, the Prophet (PBUH) performed his own aqiqah.

(2) Ziya al-Din al-Maqdisi (569–643 AH) narrated from Hazrat Anas (RA) that after receiving prophethood, the Prophet (PBUH) performed his own aqiqah.

(3) Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) said that when the Prophet (PBUH) was born, Hazrat Abdul Muttalib sacrificed a male goat for his aqiqah.
