Canadian ‘Kloth’ Interested in Making Tigers Jerseys, After Making Waves in the US

Through a significant four-year agreement with Major League Cricket (MLC) in the US, Canadian clothing company ‘Kloth’ is increasing its global influence in the game of cricket. Since MLC’s first season in 2023, the company, founded by Bangladeshi-born Mr. Rafan Siraj and Mr. Abid Azad, has provided official uniforms for the league’s commentators, umpires, and ground staff. As it continues to have a significant presence in North America, Kloth is actively growing into other sports, as seen by its previous sponsorship of Squash Canada.
The company’s growth has a strong connection to Bangladesh because a large amount of its production is done here, utilising the skills of Elite Garments, a well-known brand in the country’s ready-made clothing industry that Mr. Rafan Siraj’s family is associated with. In addition to successfully establishing themselves in the growing U.S. market, the co-founders have a great desire to collaborate closely with Bangladeshi cricket, stating that they would be happy to produce and supply jerseys for the national team if given the chance.
Co-founder and supply chain director Mr. Rafan Siraj named former player and commentator Mr. Athar Ali Khan as the most fashionable Bangladeshi cricketer, while highlighting Imran Khan, Ben Stokes, and Virat Kohli as his top three stylish international cricketers, reflecting his own love for the sport and its aesthetic culture. Ultimately, Kloth’s journey goes beyond conventional corporate growth, demonstrating Bangladeshi entrepreneurial leadership, industrial competence, and a developing link between South Asian textile legacy and worldwide sports.
