Chinese Ambassador meets BNP Acting Secretary General

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen met with BNP Acting Secretary General and Political Adviser to the Prime Minister Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. The courtesy meeting was held on Tuesday at the BNP chairman’s Gulshan office, according to his Assistant Private Secretary Zahedul Alam.

He said the two sides held a highly cordial discussion during the meeting. They discussed ways to further advance the political and ongoing friendly relations between the two countries. They also expressed hope that ongoing development activities in the two countries would gain further momentum. During the meeting, the Chinese ambassador congratulated Ruhul Kabir Rizvi with a bouquet on his election as BNP Acting Secretary General.

The Chinese Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission Liu Yuyin and Political Attaché Ling Xuan, as well as the Prime Minister’s Political Adviser’s Private Secretary Kazi Nazrul Islam and Assistant Private Secretary Zahedul Alam, were also present.

Earlier, on Monday, British High Commissioner Sarah Cook met with the BNP Acting Secretary General at the chairman’s office in Gulshan.
