Emergency Advisory for Bangladeshis in Kuwait
In response to recent missile and drone strikes in Kuwait, the Bangladeshi Embassy has released a specific safety alert advising foreigners to be careful. Mohammad Moniruzzaman, the counselor and head of chancery at the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait, signed an urgent notice on Thursday, September 3, urging expatriate Bangladeshi citizens to stay alert and avoid needless movement in view of the recent incidents. Strict instructions have been issued to stay away from all military locations for concerns of general security.
The notice stressed dedication to the laws, rules, and security instructions of the Kuwaiti government, noting that regional security is a sensitive issue. The embassy has specifically instructed foreigners to stay away from taking direct pictures or filming any missile or drone attacks. It also said that no images or recordings of the current state of affairs may be posted on social media, calling for awareness in the usage of social media.
