First Direct Radio Signal Detected from Another Planet

Astronomers have claimed to have detected, for the first time, a radio signal directly originating from an exoplanet. The signal is believed to have come from the gas giant exoplanet Beta Pictoris b, according to the study.

Radio signals have previously been detected from exoplanetary systems, but it could not be confirmed whether the signals originated from a planet or its host star.
