Israeli Actions in Palestine Are Grave Violations of International Law: Saudi Foreign Minister at UN
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has said that Israel’s aggression and unlawful actions across Palestine are clear violations of international law. Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the Saudi foreign minister strongly condemned Israeli actions in the Palestinian territories. Prince Faisal said Israel’s expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank is a serious violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
He also said Saudi Arabia firmly rejects any attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land or change the existing status quo in the Palestinian territories. The Saudi foreign minister also highlighted restrictions on the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the continuing humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people. He warned that blocking humanitarian assistance is also a direct violation of international law. Addressing the wider Palestinian crisis, Prince Faisal stressed the need for a lasting solution. He reiterated that implementing the “Two-State Solution” is the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace in Palestine and the Middle East.
