Mosques Covered with Cloth in Hyderabad Ahead of Ganesh Procession

In a bid to prevent any untoward incidents during the upcoming Ganesh idol immersion procession, authorities in Hyderabad have covered mosques along the procession route with large cloth sheets. Security agencies implemented this measure across key areas, including Afzalgunj, Charminar, and several other parts of the city situated along the route. To ensure a peaceful atmosphere ahead of Ganesh Visarjan, the Hyderabad police have put in place an extensive security framework. Around 20,000 police personnel will be deployed across various strategic locations in the city during the event.

Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Mr. V.C. Sajjanar recently inspected the procession route alongside senior officers from the police force and other municipal departments. Officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), the Roads and Buildings department, and other relevant agencies were also present during the inspection.

The entire procession route will be under continuous surveillance via CCTV cameras linked to the Telangana Integrated Command Control Center. In addition, the police will deploy Quick Response Teams, Dog Squads, and anti-chain-snatching teams at critical locations. These security protocols are designed to prevent any disruptions during the Ganesh procession and to guarantee the safety of devotees and the general public.
