Panchagarh District Conference Preparatory Committee Formed for Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresin
A meeting of leaders of Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresin was held at the auditorium of Panchagarh Nurun Ala Nur Kamil Madrasa at 11:00am on Monday, October 26. The meeting was chaired by Principal Maulana Ataur Rahman.
The organisation’s central vice-president, Dr AKM Mahbubur Rahman, attended the meeting as the chief guest. Speakers highlighted Jamiatul Modarresin’s contributions to the development of madrasa education.
In his speech, Dr Mahbubur Rahman discussed the notable contributions of the late Dr Maulana Abdur Rahman, a former president of the organisation’s Panchagarh district unit. He said those who failed to acknowledge Jamiatul Modarresin’s contributions to madrasa development were ungrateful.
He said the organisation was moving forward under the leadership of Alhaj AMM Bahauddin and Principal Maulana Sabbir Ahmad Momtazi. Efforts were also underway to meet the teachers’ and employees’ key demands, including the nationalisation of their jobs.
Dr Mahbubur Rahman urged teachers to fulfil their responsibilities properly to improve the quality of education. At the end of the discussion, Jamiatul Modarresin leader Maulana Abdul Hannan led prayers seeking forgiveness and blessings for the souls of the late Dr Abdur Rahman, the late Shafi Uddin and deceased local residents.
The meeting formed a seven-member district council conference preparatory committee, with Principal Maulana Ataur Rahman as its convener. Before the meeting, Dr AKM Mahbubur Rahman conducted a joint class for students from Class Six to the Alim level. Principal Ataur Rahman led the concluding supplication.
