PM Tarique Rahman to Visit Fatikchhari to Seek Prayers from Hefazat Chief
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will visit Babunagar in Fatikchhari, Chattogram, on August 9 after inspecting flood-hit areas in the district and meet Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Ameer Allama Shah Muhibbullah Babunagari to seek his prayers.
The Prime Minister will spend some time with the Hefazat chief before visiting the graves of former Hefazat ameer Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi and Allama Junaid Babunagari in Hathazari. He will later address a party rally at Hathazari College ground and attend a government programme at Chattogram Circuit House.
Hefazat-e-Islam has made extensive preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit to Babunagar. During the meeting, Allama Muhibbullah Babunagari is expected to raise issues including Hefazat’s 13-point demands, the expectations of religious scholars, implementation of the Qawmi education certificate, development of Qawmi madrasa education, religious harmony, moral values, national unity and public welfare.
A special meeting was held at Nazirhat Boro Madrasa on Monday (August 3) to ensure preparations for welcoming Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to Fatikchhari, the birthplace of Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer Allama Shah Muhibbullah Babunagari.
The meeting was chaired by Hefazat’s Naib-e-Ameer Mufti Habibur Rahman Qasemi, with Allama Shah Muhibbullah Babunagari attending as the chief guest. Senior leaders of the organization were also present.
At the end of the meeting, Allama Muhibbullah Babunagari led a special prayer seeking the success of the Prime Minister’s visit and the overall welfare of the country.
