Power Minister Welcomes Chinese Investment in Bangladesh
Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku has welcomed Chinese investment in Bangladesh.
He expressed interest during a meeting with a Chinese delegation at the Secretariat at 11am on Monday (October 26). The meeting discussed investment opportunities in Bangladesh and related issues.
An eight-member delegation comprising senior officials from Chinese technology companies and a consultancy firm attended the meeting.
The delegation included Senhui Zhang, chief executive officer and board director of Shenzhen Kaifa Technology (Chengdu) Co. Ltd.; Junjie Chen, technical head for the Asia-Pacific region; Wei Zhang, business head for the same region; and Yuqing Yao, the company’s national representative in Bangladesh.
Other members included Jinsong Wang, chairman of WAXMAX Consulting Pte Ltd; Mr. David, its managing director; and Stefan Ding, a director of the company.
Rezaur Rahman Sohag, special correspondent of Daily Inqilab, was also present at the meeting.
