Raising Funds for Land Recovery Lawsuits

Zahirul Islam via email
Inquiry:
Our land has been illegally occupied by some individuals, but we do not have the financial means to cover the costs of legal action and court proceedings. Is it permissible to take interest-bearing loans and repay them in installments to meet these expenses?
Response:
Taking money on interest is completely prohibited under all circumstances and cannot be justified for any reason. To pursue legal action, funds must be obtained through other halal (lawful) means. In such situations, many organisations and individuals provide free legal assistance and support to those in need.
