ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup
Sylhet to Host Opener, Chattogram Final

The 2027 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup will begin in Sylhet on January 21 and conclude in Chattogram on February 6. Some group-stage and Super Six matches will be held in Nepal.
A total of 41 matches will be played across four venues in Bangladesh and Nepal. The tournament will open with Bangladesh taking on the United Arab Emirates at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh will host most of the matches, with 14 in Chattogram and 12 in Sylhet. Nepal’s Mulpani will host eight matches, while Kirtipur will stage seven. Both semi-finals and the final will be held in Chattogram.
Two matches each will be played in Sylhet and Mulpani on the opening day. Matches will start at 9:30am and 1:30pm local time. Reserve days have been set aside only for the semi-finals and final.
The 16 teams have been divided into four groups. Bangladesh are in Group C with Australia, Nigeria and the UAE. Defending champions India are in Group A alongside co-hosts Nepal, the West Indies and Ireland.
Group B comprises Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa and Samoa, while Group D features England, Sri Lanka, Scotland and the United States.
Bangladesh will face the UAE on January 21, Australia on January 23 and Nigeria on January 25. All three of their group-stage matches will be played in Sylhet.
The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage. The six qualifiers from Groups A and D will form one group, while those from Groups B and C will make up the other. The fourth-placed team in each group will have an opportunity to play a play-off match.
Each team in the Super Six stage will play two matches against teams from the other qualifying group. The fixtures will depend on the teams’ positions in their respective groups. For example, the Group A winners will face the second- and third-placed teams from Group D.
Points earned against teams that also qualify for the Super Six will carry forward to the next stage. If Bangladesh, Australia and the UAE all advance from Group C, Bangladesh will carry forward their points from matches against Australia and the UAE. The result against Nigeria will not count towards the Super Six standings.
The four semi-finalists will be determined by the points carried forward from the group stage and the results of the two Super Six matches.
