UK-Born Abbas Joins Bangladesh U-20 Squad

UK-born footballer Adam Abbas has arrived in Bangladesh to join the national team’s training camp for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers in Uzbekistan. The winger, who has played for the youth teams of Manchester United and Burnley, is eligible to represent Bangladesh through his family ties.
Bangladesh are in Group B with hosts Uzbekistan, India and Syria, with matches scheduled from August 31 to September 6.
Meanwhile, diaspora footballer Farhan Ali Wahid has joined Boreham Wood on loan from Fulham. The 19-year-old impressed in Premier League 2 last season, winning Player of the Month after scoring three goals in two November matches.
