Will Creditors Receive Their Due on the Day of Judgment?

Question: I lent some money to a person after seeing him in difficulty when I was also struggling financially. Now, he is refusing to repay the money, repeatedly making excuses and promising to pay later. My question is: if he dies without repaying the money he owes me, will I receive compensation for it on the Day of Resurrection?
Answer: Yes, you will. However, in our country, when someone dies, their relatives often say that if the deceased owes anyone money, the creditor should contact them so that they can repay the debt. You should continue trying politely to recover the money owed to you.
If, Allah forbid, the person dies before repaying the debt and their heirs also fail to settle what they owe you, you will certainly receive your due on the Day of Final Judgment. This is because if someone has violated another person’s rights or owes them a debt in this world, and the aggrieved person does not forgive them, the debt will be settled from the debtor’s good deeds on the Day of Resurrection until the creditor is satisfied.
