9 More Bangladeshi Students Leave for Pakistan Under Allama Iqbal Scholarship
A fourth batch of nine Bangladeshi students has departed for Pakistan under the second phase of the Allama Iqbal Scholarship Programme. The students left Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday, September 26. Muhammad Wasif, Deputy High Commissioner at the High Commission of Pakistan in Dhaka, saw the students off at the airport.
Under this scholarship initiative, the selected students will have the opportunity to pursue higher education in Pakistan. The departure of this fourth batch marks a continued step forward in educational cooperation between the two countries. The Allama Iqbal Scholarship Programme enables Bangladeshi students to study at various higher education institutions in Pakistan, further strengthening academic ties and youth engagement between both nations.
Under Phase II of the programme, students have been awarded fully funded Allama Iqbal Scholarships to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes at top Pakistani universities. Last year, 74 Bangladeshi students joined leading Pakistani universities under the first phase of the programme, serving as a bridge between the people of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
