During the verification process, several applications were found to contain notable information deficiencies, leading to their disqualification. Certain applicants omitted the names of their media outlets, while others lacked the required signatures or mandatory details regarding proposers and seconders. Additional applications remained incomplete or failed to satisfy the prescribed criteria, leading the scrutiny committee to formally declare those submissions ineligible for membership and voting rights.

Voting and candidature privileges are strictly restricted to verified financial members of the organization under the published guidelines. While both financial and non-financial members appear on the comprehensive list, only financial members are eligible to exercise their voting rights and submit nomination papers as candidates. Candidates wishing to contest the upcoming election must submit their nomination papers by the official deadline of October 15 ahead of the voting event.

For the past 12 years, the Australia Bangladesh Journalists Association has actively worked to foster unity and cooperation among Bangladeshi expatriate journalists, writers, and professionals across Australia. This year’s election is viewed as a vital step toward shaping the future leadership of the organization and further strengthening professional solidarity. Stakeholders express strong optimism that active member participation, mutual respect, and a cordial atmosphere will ensure a highly successful election.
