Israeli Forces Fire Sound and Stun Grenades at Journalists, Abduct 70 Palestinians in West Bank

Israeli attacks and military operations against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have intensified. Israeli forces have abducted around 70 Palestinians in a series of military raids across the region, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society, a group that monitors Palestinian abductees.

The daily lives of Palestinians in the West Bank have been severely disrupted by Israeli military operations and repeated attacks by illegal Israeli settlers. Settlers have raided several Palestinian villages, causing extensive damage to agricultural land and crops.

Israeli forces have also taken aggressive measures to prevent the media from reporting on the incidents. Journalists from Qatar-based Al Jazeera were filming Israeli military bulldozers carrying out demolitions near the Farsh al-Hawa checkpoint in Hebron when Israeli soldiers allegedly targeted the Palestinian and international media workers with sound and stun grenades to prevent them from gathering information and recording footage.

The resistance movement Hamas has strongly condemned the situation. In a statement, the group said the Israeli attacks and military operations in the West Bank were part of its continued criminal aggression against the Palestinian people. It called for urgent international action to contain the situation. As conditions continue to deteriorate, the Palestinian Authority (PA) has also called for immediate international intervention to stop Israeli actions and protect Palestinians.
