249 More Hospitalized with Dengue

A total of 249 people have been hospitalized with dengue across the country in the past 24 hours, although no deaths were reported during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the new patients, 73 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka North City Corporation, 27 in Dhaka South City Corporation and 39 outside the two Dhaka city corporations. Among other divisions, 67 were admitted in Chattogram, 23 in Khulna, 17 in Mymensingh and three in Rangpur.

According to DGHS data, the last three dengue deaths were reported on August 3. No deaths have been recorded from the mosquito-borne disease in the past four days.

With the latest figures, the dengue death toll in the country has reached 59 this year, including five deaths in August.
