Gold Price Rises Again, How Much per Bhori?

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised the price of gold by Tk 4,374 per bhori, effective from 10am on Saturday.
According to a BAJUS notice, the price of pure gold in the local market has increased. The new price, including VAT, has been set at Tk 234,038 per bhori (11.664 grams) for 22-carat gold. The price of 21-carat gold has been set at Tk 223,541 per bhori, 18-carat at Tk 191,931 and traditional-method gold at Tk 156,822.
The new prices will remain effective at all jewellery shops until further notice. BAJUS had last adjusted gold prices on Friday, reducing them by Tk 3,266 per bhori.
Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged. Including VAT, 22-carat silver is selling at Tk 4,899 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 4,666, 18-carat at Tk 4,024 and traditional-method silver at Tk 3,033.
