Hoarders Face Death Penalty, Think Before Hoarding: Law Minister
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman has warned hoarders that the maximum punishment for hoarding is death, urging them to think twice before stockpiling goods.
He made the remarks after inspecting the jute and onion markets in Shailkupa, Jhenaidah, on Saturday morning.
The Law Minister said the government is taking initiatives to dismantle business syndicates across the country so that marginal farmers can benefit. During his visit to Shailkupa’s markets, he spoke with buyers and sellers, listened to their problems and took steps to address them immediately.
He also issued directives to ensure that ordinary farmers are not harmed. Local BNP leaders were present during the visit.
