Four new ministers and two state ministers take oath

Six ministers and state ministers have joined the cabinet of the government led by Prime Minister Mr Tarique Rahman. Their oath-taking ceremony was held at Bangabhaban on Friday evening, shortly after the president took his oath. Among the six new appointees, four are ministers and two are state ministers.

The new ministers are Dr Abdul Moin Khan, Barrister Andalib Rahman Partha, Saching Prue Jerry and M Rashiduzzaman Millat. The two state ministers are Humayun Kabir and Mohammad Shamim Kaisar Lincoln. Newly elected President Mr Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir took the oath at 7:30pm Friday at the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban. A senior Bangabhaban official said more than 1,200 guests were invited to the president’s oath-taking ceremony.
