Govt Facilitates Visas for Chinese Teachers

The government is simplifying the visa process to facilitate the recruitment of skilled teachers from China and improve students’ technical and language skills. Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon made the remarks after paying a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman on Sunday.
The minister said, “A delegation of ours recently visited China under the leadership of Prime Minister’s Advisor Mahadi Amin. We have signed several MoUs with China in the education sector. We want to build relations with China in the education sector. Their relations with industry and academia are very strong. We want to follow their model of cooperation between industry and education.”
He said, “After our delegation’s visit to China, the government has planned to provide special opportunities for students in their technical skills. For this, the government will appoint teachers to develop their language skills. A committee has been formed in the cabinet to remove visa complications.”
