Trump Signals Plan to Meet Tarique Rahman Soon
US President Donald Trump has expressed hope of meeting Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in person soon. In a letter sent to the prime minister on Monday (August 31), Trump expressed his expectation of meeting him in the near future, according to Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.
In the letter, Trump said he firmly believes that Bangladesh and its people have a bright future under the leadership of Tarique Rahman, despite the challenges the country has faced. He also conveyed his sincere greetings and affection to the people of Bangladesh. Mr. Trump thanked the prime minister for Bangladesh’s decision to purchase Boeing aircraft from the United States.
The US president assured that Boeing would not disappoint Bangladesh. He also said he would always remember the prime minister’s personal attention to the matter.
