President Calls For Quick Resolution Of RMG Issues

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged that the current issues in Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) export industry be immediately resolved. According to him, the government is making an organized effort to address the ongoing deviations and poor management in the nation’s RMG sector. The government continues to prioritize working immediately to resolve these ongoing issues.

During an official meeting with a board of directors delegation from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) in the President’s office on Wednesday afternoon, September 2, the President made these declarations. Journalists were informed by Mr. Sarwar Alam, the President’s Press Secretary, on the details of the discussion. The group, led by BGMEA President Mr. Mahmud Hasan Khan, drew attention to difficulties facing the sector and asked for the President’s support, leading to a promise that the necessary steps will be taken.

The President was invited by the BGMEA delegation to attend the 25th BATEXPO 2026 closing ceremony, which is set for November 19, 2026, at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BBCFEC), as the chief guest. The President was full of enthusiasm about attending the function. The President’s secretaries and other high-ranking officials attended the meeting’s conclusion.
