Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan Will Once Again Become Part of India: Mr. Ramdev

Controversial Indian yoga guru Ramdev has said that Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan will one day become part of India again. At the same time, he urged Indians to remain patient.

Ramdev made the remarks while speaking to journalists at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur, according to India Today. Claiming that no religion is under threat in India, Ramdev said India’s honour and dignity are under threat. He alleged that Hindus are being persecuted in Pakistan and Bangladesh. He also expressed his views on India’s future, saying that although democracy guarantees freedom of expression, such freedom should remain within the limits of the Constitution and morality.

Responding to remarks by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari regarding the situation of Hindus in Pakistan, Ramdev alleged that Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh have faced “persecution and injustice.” He said, “The persecution and injustice suffered by Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh are among the greatest acts of cruelty in the history of human civilization.” Ramdev further said, “One day, there will come a time when Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will once again be united with India. Just be patient.”

Speaking about religious conversion and the law enacted in Chhattisgarh to prevent it, Ramdev said allegations of persecution of Hindus, Christians or Muslims are mainly part of “political statements.” He said, “Whatever religious changes have taken place in the country, we must ensure that no one is subjected to persecution in the future. Neither Hinduism, Islam nor Christianity is under threat. India’s honour and dignity are under threat.” Ramdev said he wants India to become the world’s best democracy and Indian citizens to become the world’s best citizens.

He also said, “I want India’s economy to become the best in the world, the value of the rupee to be at least equal to the dollar and pound, and the Indian passport to become so powerful that Indians would not need visas anywhere in the world.”
