Bangladesh to Aid Disaster Victims in Nepal

Bangladesh President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow over the heavy loss of life and destruction caused by sudden floods and landslides in Nepal and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has also expressed profound grief over the large-scale loss of life caused by the devastating floods in Nepal.

The National Parliament has expressed condolences over the loss of lives caused by the sudden floods in neighboring Nepal. The session was also informed of the government’s initiative to send assistance to the country. The president’s press wing conveyed his condolences in a message sent to the media. In the message, he expressed sincere sympathy on behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh to Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah and the people of Nepal.

In a separate condolence message, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said he was deeply saddened and distressed by the tragic loss of so many lives in the devastating floods in Nepal. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and people who have lost their loved ones and are enduring this irreparable loss,” he said.
The prime minister said Bangladesh stands with Nepal during this severe natural disaster. He added that the Bangladesh government is prepared to provide any necessary assistance to Nepal during this critical time. The prime minister also expressed condolences in memory of those who lost their lives in the floods.
