Bangladeshi workers eyed by Nippon Express for recruitment in Japan

A delegation from Nippon Express met with Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Japan, Md. Daud Ali, on Friday to discuss expanding potential cooperation in human resources and education. The delegation expressed interest in recruiting skilled Bangladeshi workers for various sectors in Japan, particularly in forklift operation, driving and logistics. The delegation also expressed interest in contributing to stronger educational cooperation between the two countries by facilitating the admission of Bangladeshi students to various Japanese universities. The ambassador welcomed the proposals and highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Bangladesh government to prepare and train Bangladeshi workers in line with the requirements of the Japanese labor market. He proposed strengthening institutional partnerships through the signing of memoranda of understanding between educational institutions of the two countries. The ambassador also assured that the embassy would provide full cooperation in connecting suitable Bangladeshi institutions with Japanese industries to facilitate the recruitment of skilled workers in the desired sectors.

Nippon Express is a Japan-based global logistics company that is currently operating extensive programs to recruit foreign workers to meet the demand for skilled labor in Japan.
