BNP Announces New Committee for Dhaka South Unit

The Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP committee has been reconstituted, with freedom fighter Abdus Salam appointed as the new convener and Tanvir Ahmed Robin as member secretary. Additionally, Abdul Qadir Bhuiyan Jewel, former central president of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, has been named senior joint convener. The names of the office-bearers of the reconstituted convening committee were announced today, Sunday (November 8), in a press release signed by BNP Assistant Office Secretary Muhammad Munir Hossain.

ANM Saiful Islam has been assigned as joint convener of the committee. Of this four-member committee, Convener Abdus Salam currently serves as the administrator of the Dhaka South City Corporation and is also a member of the BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council. Meanwhile, Abdul Qadir Bhuiyan Jewel served as the 15th central president of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal. He served as president of the organization’s central executive committee from September 2012 to October 2014.
