BNP leader shot and hacked to death in Pabna

Miscreants shot and hacked to death a BNP leader named Mr. Adam Ali (60) in Ekdanta, Atgharia upazila, Pabna. The deceased, Mr. Adam Ali, was a resident of Shatgachha village and served as President of Ward No. 1 BNP under Ekdanta union. The incident occurred yesterday, Monday afternoon. Mr. Adam Ali was the son of Mr. Nurul Islam of Shatgachha village.

Police and locals said that yesterday, Monday, around 3:30 pm, Mr. Adam Ali was returning home on a motorcycle after shopping at Ekdanta Hat. When he reached the Chandipasha area on the way, miscreants blocked his motorcycle. He was first shot, then hacked with sharp weapons and critically injured. After confirming his death at the scene, the miscreants fled quickly.

Atgharia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mr. Md. Nazmul Haque said that upon receiving information, locals informed the police, who recovered the body from the scene. The cause of the killing and those involved could not be immediately determined. Police have begun an investigation into the incident.
