Cabinet Committee Formed on Fertiliser Issues

The government has formed a cabinet committee to assist the Ministry of Agriculture with fertiliser-related issues. The Cabinet Division issued a notification on Monday (August 24) announcing the formation of the ‘Cabinet Committee to assist the Ministry of Agriculture on fertiliser issues’.

Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare Minister Abu Zafar Md Zahid Hossain will convene the committee. Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu and State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam will serve as members. The committee will monitor fertiliser production, distribution and the recruitment of fertiliser dealers across the country. It will also provide necessary recommendations to the Ministry of Agriculture on these matters. The Ministry of Agriculture will provide secretarial support to the committee.
