DNA Test Confirms Madrasa Teacher Sagar as Biological Father

Aman Ullah Sagar, a madrasa teacher suspected of raping an 11-year-old student in Modan, Netrokona, and a newborn, had a 99.999% match, according to a DNA test result from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). These conclusive scientific results prove the accused is the biological father, providing vital, unquestionable proof to support the current legal actions against him.

The terrible occurrence happened in November 2025 in a female qawmi madrasa in Modan Upazila, where Sagar was a teacher and director. Due to serious threats of death, the young victim first kept the attack a secret, but her family eventually discovered that she was pregnant. RAB-14 arrested Sagar in May after the victim’s mother submitted an official complaint in April. On July 2, the victim gave birth to a daughter in Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, where she and her newborn are presently living in safety. On July 28, a committed CID team took samples of the newborn’s DNA.

Advocate Nurul Kabir, Public Prosecutor of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal, emphasised the significant influence of this scientific discovery by saying, ‘Following this scientific evidence, the accused has no further scope to disagree or raise questions’. He said that police are expected to submit the final chargesheet to the court soon and that the case is now fully prepared for the legal procedure.
