Four New Ministers and Two State Ministers Take Oath

Four new ministers and two state ministers have joined Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s cabinet. They took the oath at Bangabhaban on Friday evening, August 21, shortly after the swearing-in of President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. The four new ministers are Dr Abdul Moin Khan, Barrister Andaliv Rahman Partha, Saching Pru Jerry and M Rashiduzzaman Millat. The two state ministers are Humayun Kabir and Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln. The oath-taking ceremony of President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was held at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban at 7:30pm on Friday. A Bangabhaban official said more than 1,200 guests were invited to the president’s swearing-in ceremony.
