Iran Issues Strong Warning in Response to Trump’s Threat

In response to US President Donald Trump’s threat to “completely destroy or wipe out” Iran, Iran’s military has warned the United States and Israel that any new attack would trigger an “unexpected and crushing” retaliation. In a joint statement, the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters described Mr. Trump’s speech as nothing more than a “cheap propaganda tactic to mislead the Americans.”

The statement said such threats would not be able to hide the United States’ declining influence in the emerging new global polarization or its continued failures in the Middle East. Iran’s Armed Forces said that any attempt to attack the country’s sovereignty would lead to missile strikes on US and Israeli targets on a scale more severe than before.

Iranian military sources said that if the opposing side seeks to further escalate the conflict, attacks targeting the United States and its allies will be carried out with much greater destructive force and unpredictability than before. Amid the exchange of threats and rising military tensions, fears are growing that the conflict could become more severe across the Middle East.
