Iran War to End After Midterm Elections, Oil Prices to Fall: Trump

US President Donald Trump has claimed that the ongoing Iran war will end shortly after the US midterm elections scheduled for November. He also predicted that global crude oil prices would fall dramatically after the election.

Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters before heading to the Republican Party’s election convention in Dallas, Texas. He claimed that Tehran is essentially plotting to influence the US election.

Mr. Trump said, “Iran wants to influence the US election and bring a relatively weaker side to power so that it can easily develop nuclear weapons. But they will not be able to survive much longer. I believe this war will end immediately after the midterm elections, and oil prices will also quickly decline.”

Due to the tense situation in the Middle East, which has continued for the past seven months, the price of crude oil in the global market has recently surpassed $100 per barrel. This has pushed up fuel prices in the United States and increased the cost of living, intensifying political pressure on the Trump administration.

However, internal sources in the Trump administration and White House advisers have warned that although Mr. Trump expects the war to end quickly, the conflict could continue for much longer.
