Mahdi Amin urges Indian High Commissioner to prevent fugitives in India from creating instability

Prime Minister’s Adviser and spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office Mahdi Amin has urged Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Dinesh Trivedi to ensure that fugitives and convicted persons staying in India do not attempt to create any kind of instability.
Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi paid a courtesy call on Mahdi Amin at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon on Thursday morning (September 17). They held fruitful discussions on various issues, including the overall development of bilateral relations and increasing people-to-people contact between the two countries. Deputy High Commissioner of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka Pavan Badhe was also present.
The meeting highlighted the importance of further strengthening the democratic environment and values in both countries. The two sides also exchanged views on taking bilateral relations to a sustainable and dignified level based on mutual respect, equality, fairness and justice.
They also held constructive discussions on resolving existing challenges through mutual dialogue and cooperation.
The meeting covered various aspects of Bangladesh-India bilateral relations in detail, with particular emphasis on expanding cooperation in education, healthcare, sports, culture and tourism. They also discussed expanding business, trade and investment.
Highlighting the potential for information technology and innovation, the two sides expressed the view that there are opportunities to further enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including science and technology.
