Pakistan-Kuwait Sign Historic Bilateral Defense Pact

Pakistan and Kuwait have signed a bilateral defense and military cooperation agreement to strengthen ties between their armed forces. The agreement was signed on Thursday (August 27) by Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Kuwait’s Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah. The two ministers discussed ways to expand defense cooperation, regional and international developments, common challenges, and efforts to strengthen regional security and stability.

Kuwait’s Defense Ministry described the agreement as a “milestone” in military relations between the two countries. It said the deal will enhance operational coordination, experience-sharing, military readiness and integration between their armed forces. The agreement is expected to strengthen the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Kuwait and support security and stability in the Middle East and surrounding region.
