Prince Harry Discusses Documentary on Princess Diana

British Prince Harry is discussing the possibility of making a documentary about his late mother, Princess Diana, to mark the 30th anniversary of her death. However, the project has not yet been finalised or officially confirmed, British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported.

According to a report by the Telegraph, August 31 next year will mark the 30th anniversary of Diana’s death. A source close to Harry said he is still considering how to commemorate his mother’s legacy in the most meaningful way on the occasion.

If the documentary is made, there are plans to involve some of Diana’s friends and relatives. Harry has also contacted his late mother’s brother, Earl Spencer, and invited him to participate in the project, the report said.

However, instead of taking part in the documentary, Earl Spencer has decided to write a book about Princess Diana. According to him, among the several productions planned about his sister, he does not want to be one of the people appearing on camera to speak about her in another documentary.

If produced, the documentary could be made through Mr. Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s production company, Archewell Productions, the report said. As the couple have a long-term agreement with Netflix, the platform could acquire the project, it is believed.

Reports about Mr. Harry’s possible project on Princess Diana has previously appeared in the British media. However, the Telegraph’s latest report said Mr. Harry is still considering various possibilities for the most meaningful way to remember his mother on the 30th anniversary of her death.

Princess Diana died in a car accident in Paris, France, on August 31, 1997. She was 36 years old at the time of her death. Next year will mark 30 years since her death.

In 2017, on the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, Princes William and Mr. Harry jointly worked on a documentary titled Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy.
